Abstract Improvised Log Cabin Cushion(1)

This fully lined, double-sided and quilted improvised log cabin patchwork cushion is contemporary and edgy.

The design is based on the traditional log cabin layout but with a modern edge.   I chose a selection of autumnal colours, so there's a combination of earthy colours as well as some warm ones.  The border is quilted adding an extra dimension.  Each side of the cushion is different.

The fabric is 100% cotton.  Between the layers is 100% cotton wadding and this additional layer gives the cushion a luxurious feel.  The lining is soft calico.  I inserted an invisible black zip.

The cushion measures approximately 20" x 20" or 51 cms x 51cms.
