Baby Quilt - Moda - Nomad Floral Layer Cake

After making the Nomad Quilt (which is also for sale) I still had some fabric left over from the Moda Nomad Layer Cake I had, and the remaining colours in the Layer Cake were bright orange.  It took me a while to find a colour that blended well enough to complement the various designs.  White fabric was too bright and cream fabric did not contrast well as there is white in a couple of the floral designs so I eventually settled on a matt beige colour as this strikes the right balance.

The quilt has an orange border and the backing fabric is floral to complement the top with cream fabric used for the binding.  The fabric is 100% cotton.

The quilt has been made on a domestic sewing machine and finished by hand.  A good quality wadding has been used.
