One of the most enjoyable aspects of creating patchworks and quilts is learning from others and this Strip and Stitch Wall Hanging is a good example of this. Having seen a Strip and Stitch quilt being made I decided to make a wall hanging using the same method and this is now the second wall hanging I've made in this style. The edges of the strips are rough as you quite literally rip off strips of fabric and sew them onto a contrasting colour. In between the strips you get a mere glimpse of the contrasting colour. The wall hanging is backed and there is wadding sandwiched between the layers to give some weight.
This wall hanging can be hung horizontally or vertically. I've added corner pieces on the back and all that needs to be added is a batten strip (not included).
