Elephant Patchwork Play Mat

For this quilted patchwork play mat I have used a lovely print with lines of coloured elephants and backed the mat with  some heavy cotton fabric with polka dots.  The backing fabric is robust and so better suited to being on the floor, although it would work equally well as a normal quilt.  Wadding is in the middle and the mat has been quilted using the tie method (with the knot on the under side).

The play mat is a generous size, measuring approximately:
