Using some pre-cut fabric (Vintage Kitchen by Riley Blake) and some bold fabric to complement the patterned fabric I've made a single quilted pot holder with a hanging tab. 

Between the top and bottoms layers of fabric there is one layer of heat-resistant insulating wadding as well as a layer of 100% cotton wadding for extra protection.

The pot holder measures approximately 6.75" x 6.75" or 17.50 cms x 17.50 cms.
