Oven Gloves (Cuckoo's Calling Pink)

With so many gorgeous prints available it's the perfect opportunity to ditch the old worn oven gloves and add a bit of colour to the kitchen.

For the contrasting colour I chose purple and added a purple strip down the centre on one side to match the purple on the trim and reverse side.  These gloves have a layer of heat-resistant insulating material as well as a layer of 100% cotton wadding.  The 'pockets' are similarly insulated.  The gloves measure approximately 33.5" x 7" or 85 cms x 18 cms.

I made the gloves on a domestic sewing machine and finished the gloves by hand.  The fabric is 100% cotton and the gloves can be washed on a gentle setting.

Please note the oven gloves are heat-resistant not heat proof.

Care should always be taken when handling any hot items.
