Pineapple Block Wall Hanging in Hot Tomato

On impulse I decided to create a pineapple block wall hanging and rather than using a variety of different colours and I chose just two:  a soft off white calico and a warm red called 'Hot Tomato'. 

The pineapple block is quite dynamic and I felt that it didn't need the usual border or binding to frame the piece and instead used a technique where the 'binding' or facing is hidden on the reverse side. 

I've used yellow and white polka dot fabric on the reverse side and added a hanging sleeve so that a piece of batten or pole can be inserted (not included).

To give the wall hanging some extra body there is a layer of 100% cotton wadding and I have lightly quilted the wall hanging to anchor the layers together.  The wall hanging is machine washable on a gentle setting.

The approximate measurements are 40" x 40" or 101.5 cms x 101.5 cms.
