I've called this contemporary quilted wall hanging 'Counting Blocks' as the little squares reminded me of the coloured wooden blocks I had as a child.
It has proved impossible for me to photograph this wall hanging in a way that accurately shows the main background colour and so I have included a photograph, the last one, which is the closest to the actual colour and you will see it is much darker.
I made the quilt on a domestic machine. Between the layers is some 100% cotton wadding to give the wall hanging some extra body. The quilting (that is the stitching anchoring the layers together) has been done in wavy lines. I used black fabric on the back of the wall hanging.
The wall hanging can be hung vertically either way up, as I've added hanging sleeves at both ends.
The wall hanging measures approximately W29" x L38½" or W73.5 cms x L98 cms.
