Figment Triangles

When I see a print I like that happens to come in pre-cut bundles my mind goes into over-drive as think of ways to use the fabric and that is exactly what happened when I saw Robert Kaufman's Figment collection.   I also took the opportunity to be experimental with the quilting (that is the stitching that anchors the various layers together).

This is the latest piece I have made combining the Figment prints with various solid colours.  I used a combination of two solid colours on the back of the patchwork.  The patchwork is a lap quilt and measures approximately W50 x L59" or W127 cms x L150 cms.  The fabric is 100% cotton with a layer of 100% cotton wadding.  The quilting is in wavy lines.

This modern quilt would make an excellent wall hanging and if you would like a hanging sleeve added on the back (at no extra charge) just send me a message and I can add this.

I made the quilt on a domestic machine and finished it by hand.  The quilt is machine washable on a gentle setting.
