The Non-Dinosaur Dinosaur Baby Quilt

The name of this baby quilt may appear a little confusing as you won't see a single dinosaur.  The patterned fabric is one of the prints from a wider collection called Dinosaur. 

The layout is in quarter circles.  The patterned print is very subtle and so I thought the quilt would benefit from having a burst of  solid colours for the border.   The borders are  mitred.   I also used some soft creamy calico.  The backing fabric is a combination of both the Dinosaur fabric and calico as well.  I used 100% cotton thread on the border in contrasting colours.

The fabric is all 100% cotton and between the layers is 100% cotton wadding.  The thread is also 100% cotton.  The quilt is machine washable on a gentle setting.

The approximate measurements of the quilt are W40½" x L51" or W103 cms x L130 cms.
