Colour Burst Quilted Wall Hanging

I wanted to create a wall hanging with sharp lines and in a selection of strong solid colours.  The result is clean and modern. 

The fabric is 100% cotton and between the layers is some 100% cotton fabric.  As far as possible I used thread which matched the fabric.  I quilted the wall hanging in narrow straight lines.  Take a look at some of the close up photographs.  

Often a quilt will have a binding which is visible on the front and this has the effect of 'framing' a quilt.  I wanted a more contemporary appearance and so the binding I used, which I call a 'magic' binding is not visible on the front. 

On the back of the wall hanging I've added a hanging sleeve so that a piece of batten wood can be inserted (not included).

The approximately size of the wall hanging is W23" x L17½" or W58.5 cms x L44.5 cms
