Pair of Patchwork Aga Pads

This custom order was for a customer who wanted a pair of patchwork Aga pads in colourful patterned prints.  During the designs stage I sent photographs of various colour combinations and was able to narrow down preferences.

When it came to choosing the type of patchwork layout (traditional or improvised) this proved harder for the customer, who liked both options.  Much to my delight the customer asked for a pair of each while using the same colour combinations and prints. 

This pair is the Aga pads in an improvised layout.  There is a layer of heat-resistant insulating machine plus a layer of 100% cotton wadding.  The Aga pads are backed with black terry towelling.
