Pecan and Rust Patchwork Quilted Tote Bag

For this bag I used a combination pecan, brown, rust black and putty together with some black and white striped fabric.

 

I would describe the bag as 'commodious'.  There's lots of room plus there are two zippered pockets: one of the outside and one on the inside.  Both the pockets have been lined with Mid Mod Circles in Red fabric.

The bag is fully lined with plain black fabric and the strap is in rust.  The bag is quilted in narrow horizontal lines in cream thread. 

The  height of the outer pocket measures approximately 10" and the width is 14½” or 25.5 cms x 37 cms and the inside pocket is about 10" x 10" or 25.5 cms x 25.5 cms.   The bag itself measures H16" x W20½" or  H40.5 cms x W52 cms.  The straps add an additional 17” or 43 cms.

I've used In R Form foam and this gives the bag extra body so that when you place the bag on a surface in doesn't collapse in a heap.  The strap also has a layer of In R Form foam.  In addition the bag is machine washable on a gentle setting.
