Autumn Peaks Quilted Wall Hanging

For this Autumn Peaks quilted wall hanging I used a combination of beautiful warm colours to create a modern abstract piece of wall decor.  I used a traditional method called paper piecing.  For the quilting I followed the contours of the seams, enhancing the overall appearance of peaks.

All the fabric is 100% cotton and between the layers is some 100% cotton wadding.  The wadding gives the wall hanging additional texture.  Rather than framing the wall hanging with a visible binding, the binding is all on the back of the quilt, which is particularly suited to contemporary quilted wall hangings.

The wall hanging is large measuring approximately 34½" x 55½" or 87.5 cms x 141 cms.  

On the reverse side is a hanging sleeve for a piece of batten or hanging pole to be inserted (not included).
