Set of Two Make It Simpler Place Mats (Wide)

A pair of Make It Simpler stylish and practical quilted place mats.  The main colour of the mats is burgundy and there is a horizontal strip of patterned fabric in green and burgundy from a fabric line called Make It Simpler.  The fabric on the back of the mats and on the binding is black.

The fabric is 100% cotton and between the layers is some heat-resistant insulating material to protect your table or surfaces, plus a layer of 100% cotton wadding.  The place mats are machine washable.   As the fabric hasn't been pre-washed there may be a small amount of shrinkage when the place mats are first washed.
 
I made the mats on a domestic sewing machine and finished the binding off by hand.  I quilted the mats using a wavy design.

The mats measure approximately 12½" x 11¼" or 32 cms x 28.5 cms.

Listed separately are some 'mug rugs' in the same fabric (although the strip is vertical) and also listed are similar place mats but with a slightly different strip, also from the Make It Simpler fabric line.
