Set of Two Make It Simpler Mug Mats/Coasters (Narrow)

A pair of Make It Simpler stylish and practical quilted mug mats/coasters. The main colour of the coasters is burgundy and there is a vertical strip of patterned fabric in green and burgundy from a fabric line called Make It Simpler. The fabric on the back of the coasters and on the binding is black.

The fabric is 100% cotton and between the layers is some heat-resistant insulating material to protect your table or surfaces, plus a layer of 100% cotton wadding. The coasters are machine washable.  As the fabric hasn't been pre-washed there may be a small amount of shrinkage when the place mats are first washed.

I made the coasters on a domestic sewing machine and finished the binding off by hand. I quilted the  using a wavy design.

The coasters measure approximately 11" x 8" or 28 cms x 20.5 cms.  This is a generous size to accommodate a decent sized mug or cup and saucer.

Listed separately are some place mats in the same fabric (although the strip is horizontal) and also listed are similar mug mats/coasters but with a slightly different strip, also from the Make It Simpler fabric line.
