Set of Two Artisan Quilted Place Mats (Winter)

This is a set of two artisan place mats in a combination of winter colours made with 100% cotton fabric from a collection called 'Grunge'.  The fabric has attractive mottling.  The binding is in purple/maroon and there is plain black fabric on the back of each mat.

Each mat has a layer of heat-resistant material plus a layer of 100% cotton wadding which gives the mats a luxurious quality and helps to protect table surfaces. 

The place mats were lightly quilted (using the 'stitch in the ditch' technique) on a domestic sewing machine and finished by hand.

The mats measure approximately 16½" x 12½" or 42 cms x 32 cms.

The place mats are machine washable on a gentle setting with like colours.  As the fabric hasn't been pre-washed there may be a small amount of shrinkage when the place mats are first washed.
