For a while I've been working with Robert Kaufman Brussels Washer Linen which is a dream to work with. Mainly, I've incorporated the linen into various pieces of Boro work, which I have turned into cushions or bags. This time, however, I didn't add any other fabric do that the focus is on the stitchwork.
The raised stitches are French knots and some have been linked with straight stitches. The thread I used is Sashiko which is thicker than ordinary embroidery thread and not stranded.
To give the wall hanging some additional structure there is a layer of wadding. I've added a hanging sleeve so that a hanging pole or batten wood can be inserted (not included).
The approximate measurements are W38 x H17" or W96.5 cms x L47.
