Night Jungle Patchwork Tote Bag

Sometimes you want a bag that you can get into easily and not fuss about with fastenings and this is just the right bag.  Nice and deep, perfect for carrying your newspaper or for carrying books etc. 

For this bag I used a modern animal print called Night Jungle together with some blue fabric.  The lining and strap are in  solid blue fabric.  There is a zippered pocket on the inside which is lined in Night Jungle fabric.  The bag has a layer of In R Form foam wadding.  This gives the bag body so if you place the bag on a surface it remains upright.  You can squash the bag and it will spring back into shape.

I've quilted the bag with diagonal lines in each direction.  I made the bag using a domestic sewing machine and finished it by hand.

The fabric is 100% cotton and is machine washable on a cold setting. 

The approximate measurements of the bag when laid flat are:  W13½" x L12" or W34 cms x L30.5 cms.  The straps are an additional or 14½" or 37 cms.  The pocket measures approximately W9" x L7" or W23 cms x L18 cms.
