King Size Scrappy Nine Patch Heirloom Quilt

For this custom order the brief was to produce a quilt that could be enjoyed, treasured and one day be passed on to a family member.  The customer was specific about colour choices and style and was keen to have reds, pinks and greens and the colour of Cornish clotted cream with lots of floral prints.  The backing fabric is a glorious Liberty print.

So that the customer could be a part of the process I sent regular photographs so that she could see the progress that was being made.

I pieced the patchwork on my domestic machine.  The quilt is a large one measuring 2.4 m x 2.4 m or about 94" x 94".   Being such a large quilt it was sent off to a longarm specialist Cumbrian Longarm Quilting.
