Ladders Patchwork Quilt

For this modern quilt I used a selection of colours that I love and which I have used in many, many projects.  I wanted to create a quilt that could be used not only indoors as a bed topper or lap quilt but outdoors as well, either as a lap quilt as the temperature drops or to lay on in the garden or beach or as a picnic mat. 

On the back of the quilt which is in black, I inserted a panel to add a bit of additional interest.  The binding around the quilt is in brown and quilting is in simple vertical lines echoing the seam lines.

The quilt measures approximately 58" x  56" or 147 cms x 142 cms.

The fabric is 100% cotton   Between the layers is some good quality Warm and Natural wadding.  The quilt is machine washable on a gentle setting and may be ironed.
