A short while ago I made a pair of mini quilted wall hangings which I called Fractured I and II, which sold recently. I enjoyed the process of making them I decided to make more in the Fractured 'collection', each slightly different.
The printed fabric is a panel of continuous prose and is set on a background of off-white fabric. The fracture in the IV version has been applied in a slightly different way to the previous Fractured wall hanging. For this version the red fracture has been appliquéd.
The wall hanging has a faced binding (not visible from the front) and on the back I have added a hanging sleeve so the textile wall art may be hung by inserting a piece of batten wood or similiar (not included).
To add some additional texture there is some vertical matchstick quilting (quilting in very narrow stitch lines).
This wall hanging is larger than the original Fractured I and II and this one measures approximately W21½" x L27' or W53.5 cmx x L68.5 cms.
