Set of Two Quilted Place Mats (Chequerboard)

A set of two quilted place mats in a chequerboard layout in a combination of a rust colour and green and made with 100% quilting cotton.  The back of the place mats are in an aqua colour and the binding is in black. There is a layer of 100% cotton wadding as well as a layer of heat-resistant insulating wadding to protect your table.  In addition the extra layers gives the place mats more texture. 

The middle section of the place mats have been quilted on the diagonals.

The place mats measure approximately 14½" x 15" or 37 cms x 38 cms.

The place mats were made on a domestic sewing machine and finished by hand.

The mats are machine washable on a gentle setting.  As the fabric hasn't been pre-washed there may be a small amount of shrinkage when the place mats are first washed.  Once washed the place mats will benefit from being pressed.
