I have called this quilted tote bag 'Beginnings' as it is, what I hope will be, the start of many Shibori creations.  In the Autumn 2021 I attended a two-day Shirbori workshop run by Rob Jones of Romor Designs and fell in love with the whole Shibori process.  Shibori is a method stitching, clamping, or binding fabric and then dyeing the fabric in indigo. 
 
This tote bag consists of several pieces of fabric (which have had the Shibori treatment) which I then pieced together. The lining, pocket lining and straps are in various shades of blue.  There is a dark grey zipper which is nylon.
 
The bag measures approximately H12" x W14" or H30.5 cms x L35.5 cms.  The straps add an additional 14½" or 37 cms.


I used In R Form foam and this gives the bag extra body so that when you place the bag on a surface in doesn't collapse in a heap.  In addition the bag is machine washable on a gentle setting.  I've also used In R Form foam in the straps which makes the bag comfortable if you're carrying the bag over your shoulder.
