I am bit of a fan of Wallace & Sewell scarves and find difficult to resist stocking up on gifts. At their last sale just before Christmas 2021 I found some beautiful silk scarves, which were seconds or samples and decided to experiment by using the fabric to make up some bags.
The fabric I used for the outer bag is a second and so there may be minor flaws. The fabric is slightly textured which adds some additional interest. The bag is lined with cotton in a colour called gecko, which has also been used for the straps.
The approximate measurements of the bag are: W13" x H14" or W33 cms x H35.5 cms. The straps add an additional 15" or 38 cms.
I've used some mid loft interfacing which gives the bag extra body so that when you place the bag on a surface in doesn't collapse in a heap.
