Shibori Sampler Patchwork Quilt

This sampler patchwork quilt is the result of an inspiring Shibori workshop I attended run by Rob Jones of Romor Designs. 

To create Shibori patterns the fabric is stitched or tightly tied or blocks are used to create resistance and then dyed in indigo.  Once the stitching, binding or blocks are removed the patterns are revealed.  Each block has been individually prepared.

The quilt is made of 100% cotton with good quality wadding sandwiched in the middle.  The quilt is backed with Japanese Kasuri fabric in navy.  The quilt is machine washable on a gentle setting.  The quilt was made on a domestic sewing machine.  The quilting is in narrow vertical lines.

The quilt measures approximately 53" x 67" (or 135 cms x 170 cms).
