Improvised Circular Baby Quilt

I thought I would try something a little different so came up with the idea of making a circular baby quilt-cum-play mat.  The quilt could be used in a cot, on a floor or in a garden.

The layout on the top is in a modern improvised design and the colour combination matches the backing fabric.  The backing fabric  is a fun print from the Dashwood Studio Hibernate collection and so could be treated as a reversible quilt.

The width of the quilt measures approximately 38" or 96.5 cms in diameter.

The fabric is 100% cotton and between the layers is some good quality wadding.  The quilt is machine washable on a gentle setting.

The patchwork has been quilted in a cross-hatch design.
