Black and White Linen Baby Quilt with a Naughty Hint of Pear

This black and white chequerboard baby quilt has been made using mainly Robert Kaufman Essex Linen.  For a bit of interest I added a rogue square in Robert Kaufman Brussels Washer Linen which is in a colour called Pear.  The backing fabric is also in the Pear Brusssels Washer Linen.  The quilt has been bound in a striking black and white fabric.

The patchwork has been quilted on the diagonal in each direction.

Good quality summer weight wadding is sandwiched between the layers.  The quilt was made on a domestic machine and finished by hand.

The approximate measurements are:  W40½" x L40½" or W95 cms x L95 cms

This is a quilt which would work well as a baby quilt, a play mat or could be used as a small lap quilt.
