Hello Velo Circular Baby Quilt (Small Squares)

I thought I would try something a little different so came up with the idea of making a circular baby quilt-cum-play mat.  The quilt could be used in a cot, on a floor or in a garden.

I used a print from the Hello Velo collection and picked solid colours to match.  The backing fabric is plain and the binding around the quilt is scrappy.  The final photograph is an image of the patterned fabric.

The width of the quilt measures approximately 38" or 96.5 cms in diameter.

The fabric is 100% cotton and between the layers is some good quality wadding.  The quilt is machine washable on a gentle setting.

The patchwork has been quilted on the diagonal in each direction and only through the patterned fabric.
