Pink Quilted Felt Panel Tote Bag

In 2023 I collaborated with Natasha Smart of Natasha Smart Textiles, a wet felting specialist, and between us we created a number of tote bags.

This is one of the bags we made from our collaboration.

One outer side of this medium-sized bag includes a panel of handmade and machine embroidered felt, hand felted by Natasha, incorporating nuno felted sari silk pieces and wool yarns and on the other side I decided on machine quilting  in a grid layout on good quality foam interlining giving the bag additional structure.   I added a matching deep pink plain cotton lining, large inside zippered pocket (big enough for a mobile phone and more) in a lovely matching complementary fabric, and black leather shoulder straps.
