Quilted Silk Bag

I am bit of a fan of Wallace & Sewell scarves and find difficult to resist stocking up on gifts.  At their last sale just before Christmas 2023 I found some beautiful scarves, and used some to bag a few bags.

The silk fabric used for the outer part of this deep handbag is a second and so there may be minor flaws.  The bag is lined in a beautiful teal as is the lining of the zippered pocket.  There are short handles in blue.

The approximate measurements of the bag are:  W11" x  H10" or W28 cms x H25.5 cms.  The straps add an additional 9" or 23 cms. 

I've used some In R Form foam which gives the bag extra body so that when you place the bag on a surface in doesn't collapse in a heap.   The bag has been subtly quilted.  The quilting is almost invisible to the eye.
