Porto - Half Triangle Hand Quilted Patchwork

The inspiration for this half square triangle quilt came about during a visit to Porto, Portugal.  I saw a building that was so striking and just shouted 'patchwork' at me.

Most of the patchwork is black and off white, including the geometric backing fabric but I thought I needed to spice things up a bit so added a bit of red on the binding.

This quilting was lovingly done by hand with off white thread.

Between the layers is good quality wadding.

The quilt measures approximately 78" x 78" or 198 cms x 198 cms
