Postage Stamp Patchwork Quilt

This postage stamp patchwork quilt is made up of 8,100 x 1" squares.  

I accumulate a lot of scraps left over from other projects and making some sort of scrappy quilt gives me the perfect opportunity to reduce my scraps mountain.

The quilt has been exhibited at various locations in and around Bridport, Dorset over the past year.

Due to the size of the quilt it was sent to my go-to longarm quilter Cath Brough of Cumbrian Longarm Quilting.  I used a multi-coloured print for the backing fabric as shown in the last photograph.  I added a binding in a colour called Chilli.

The quilt measures approximately 88" x 88" or 222 cms x 222 cms.

All the fabric is 100% cotton.  Between the layers is some good qualiity cotton wadding.
