I came across a clever technique called 'confetti quilting'. The technique is an excellent way of using up tiny pieces of fabric thus avoiding any waste, which is an obvious benefit. I decided to use the technique to create several decorative envelope cushions.
I've called this Cushion 'Embers'.
The central section is made up of hundreds of pieces of fabric in various colours and has been covered with some tulle. To prevent the small pieces of fabric from shifting I quilted over the tulle.
The cushion cover is fully lined and measures approximately 18" x 18" or 46 cms x 46 cms. There is a button fastening on the back.
It is recommended that the cushion cover is professionally cleaned and it is important that the centre is not ironed.
