Handmade Quilts - Shoplivepages::jquery();?>
All the quilts are made by Dorset Patchworks' Devi Chapman. She uses a domestic sewing machine and the quilts are finished by hand. Straight line stitching has been used on the majority of quilts although Devi has started to do some free motion quilting using her domestic machine and some pieces have been hand quilted. Where the quilting has been completed on a long arm quilting machine this will be made clear in the product description. Good quality wadding is used between the layers and unless otherwise stated the fabric is 100% cotton.
The fabric has not been pre-washed and so there is likely to be a small amount of shrinkage when the quilt is first washed. Washing creates a more antique effect.
Dorset Patchworks also has an Etsy shop where you will find other patchworks and handmade items that may interest you.
From April 2018 a range of Dorset Patchworks' quilts are available at Becca's Fabric Larder at the Craft & Design Centre in Broadwindsor, Dorset DT8 3PX. If you would like to see what quilts are available there just click on the link 'Also Available...'
