Fractured Shadows II Quilted Wall Hanging

Some while ago I made a series of small wall hangings in the 'Fractured' collection.  These were on printed fabric of continuous prose and set on a background of off-white fabric with a fracture line in red.  To view the wall hangings in the original Fractured collection click here and click here.

I decided to make darker versions of the wall hangings which now form part of the Fractured Shadows collection.  This time I used a moody print with a wide border in  grey and a red fracture line.

When photographing the Fractured Shadows wall hangings the natural light cast a shadow, seen on the top left, which I thought was rather apt.  I decided to leave the natural shadow in the images.

The wall hangings have faced bindings (not visible from the front) and on the back I have added corners so the pieces may be hung by inserting a piece of batten wood or similiar (not included).

To add some additional texture there is some vertical matchstick quilting (quilting in very narrow stitch lines).

Each wall hanging measures approximately  W16¾" x L18½' or W42.5 cmx x L47 cms.
